*************** Specialists in Life Science Automation and IT SystemsStay Connected :SimoTech provides manufacturing automation and IT systems engineering, project management and validation services.We partner with life sciences companies to design, build, operate and optimise critical process automation systems that deliver fast track project delivery, operational efficiency, improve manufacturing agility and achieve regulatory compliance.Why SimoTechWhat is it like to work at SimoTech?With a strong collaborative teamwork culture based on respect, trust and excellence, we play a critical partnering role to our clients' life-changing supply of products to patients.In return, there is excellent salary, career progression, educational support and much more.Automation Technical ConsultantSimoTech are looking for anAutomation Technical Consultant, based in our headquarters in Cork.This is the chance to become part of a team of technical experts, working on projects that directly contribute to accelerating the availability of life-enhancing medicines and improving health outcomes worldwide.The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on automation experience, capable of executing and overseeing various technical consultancy, front-end engineering and system integration projects.As a senior technical member of the team, you will also take on a mentorship role for junior engineers.Key ResponsibilitiesAutomation Technical Consultancy Responsibilities:Contribute from a technical perspective to projects across a wide range of platforms and technologies.Advocate for new technologies and innovative solutions to meet business needs.Front-End Engineering project Responsibilities:Front End Studies and Basis-of-Design documentation.Scope of Work, User Requirements Spec, System Architectures, Functional Specs.Reviews of Vendor Proposals and participate in Technical Bid Analysis.Technical Consultancy project Responsibilities:Develop and implement automation strategies.Create guidelines & templates for obsolescence reports and lifecycle plans.Develop guidelines & templates for data security & data integrity assessments.Design and optimize system architectures for various automation platforms.System Integration Responsibilities:Lead the design & configuration of Process Control Systems.Provide technical guidance, conduct investigations and resolve technical issues.Project Managers Support responsibilities:Assist project managers with the development of budgets, scope, schedule & quality.Customer relationship management.Provide support to automation engineers and project engineers.Offer expertise and advice in your field of technical expertise.Occasional travel to client sites for project scoping, implementation & governance meetings.QualificationsAt least 8 years' experience implementing and supporting automation systems within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or life sciences industries.A minimum of 2 years in a senior role with responsibility for the technical aspects of automation project delivery.A technical qualification at third level (or equivalent) in Engineering, Science, or a related field.Strong project management, technical and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently with limited supervision on a variety of technologies and project lifecycles.Significant experience in one or more of the following platforms: Rockwell, Siemens S7 and/or Emerson DeltaV platforms.Proficient in solution definition and proactive in resolving technical issues.Strong knowledge of GMP, GAMP, Safety and Environmental Regulatory requirements.Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills.What SimoTech Can OfferRole provides a high degree of autonomy to allow the successful candidate to reach their full potential.Develop new skills and enhance technical ability by working with innovative technologies in a multi-disciplined environment.Opportunity to work with large corporate clients on exciting capital projects.By submitting my data (CV), I consent to SimoTech collecting and storing my personal data, as outlined in the SimoTech Privacy Statement which I have read.#J-*****-Ljbffr
