Senior Mechanical Engineer

A leading Irish engineering consultancy is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its dynamic Dublin team.

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer who is passionate about sustainable design, project leadership, and technical excellence.
You will play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and management of mechanical systems for both new build and refurbishment projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead mechanical design for building services projects from concept through to handover
Provide strategic input on project direction, energy performance, and cost efficiency
Oversee and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and contractors
Ensure compliance with the latest industry regulations, codes, and sustainability standards
Carry out site inspections, progress reporting, and quality control measures
Mentor junior team members and support knowledge-sharing across teams
Engage with clients and stakeholders, representing the consultancy professionally at all stages
Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
7+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally in a consultancy environment
Strong technical expertise in HVAC, renewable systems, energy modelling, and sustainability standards
Proficient in relevant design and simulation software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and IES
In-depth knowledge of Irish and international building codes and green building standards
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
