Job Title: Financial AccountantReports To: Chief Financial OfficerPosition Overview: We are excited to announce an opening for a Financial Accountant within our dynamic Finance team This is a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations within the Softworks Group.This individual must be highly motivated and detail-oriented Part qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).Responsibilities will include providing accurate financial reporting, management accounting, and analysis within the Softworks Group.This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual to contribute to the financial success of a growing organisation and further develop their career in a supportive and collaborative environment working directly with the CFO.Seeking a candidate for an immediate start.Role Responsibilities:Management Accounting:· Preparation of month management accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and commentary.· Ensure the integrity of the general ledger and all financial records.· Ensure intercompany transactions are reconciled accurately and foreign exchange is managed correctly during consolidation.· Prepare and submit VAT & HRMC and other relevant tax returns accurately and on time (VAT, RTD, VIES, PAYE).· Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.· Provide financial support and analysis to the CFO.Payroll Processing & Supplier Management:· Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process for group entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legislation.· Prepare and submit payroll-related reports and returns to relevant authorities.· Manage the Supplier ledger.General:· Foster collaboration within the Softworks Group and liaise effectively with other departments and external stakeholders.· Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices.· Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and research as required.Requirements:· Part or Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).· Strong technical accounting knowledge and a thorough understanding of accounting principles and standards.· Proven experience in preparing financial statements, management accounts, and financial analysis.· Familiarity with Irish tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax).· Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and accounting software packages.o Experience with AccountsIQ is an advantage.Expectations:· Demonstrate agility in a fast-changing technological environment, being open and adaptable to unsuspecting change.· Encouraging excellence and goal achievement within the Softworks Group, while striving for the same in your personal development.· Communicate regularly and efficiently with all stakeholders, both internal and external.· Maintain strong co-operative relationships within the team and other departments to ensure that the organisation continues to function successfully.· Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify issues, and recommend solutions.· High level of accuracy and a commitment to producing high quality work.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely to both finance and non-finance professionals.· Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.· Understanding of business operations and how finance supports strategic objectives.· Strong ethical standards and a professional approach to work.About the Softworks Group:For over 30 years, we have been assisting companies around the world in organising the working day to make them more productive, profitable, and add value to their operations.Our globally recognised and acclaimed Workforce Management Solutions include:· Time & Attendance/Flexible Working· Labour Scheduling & Optimisation· Absence Management· Project Tracking· Access ControlWe take a customer-centric approach to always exceed expectations and delight our clients with a standout and powerful product.Within the Softworks Group, we are more than just people thatwork together;
