OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and detail-orientedDesign Engineer/BCAR Specialistto join our dynamic HSTA (Health & Safety Technical Advisory) Division in Dublin / Castlebar / Galway / Limerick / Sligo (location flexible with hybrid working options).This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of refurbishment and construction projects, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions from concept through to completion.As a Design Engineer/BCAR Specialist, you will play a key role in project coordination, design management, and quality assurance, while also developing your expertise in regulatory compliance and certification services.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake the role of Assigned Certifier in accordance with BCAR, ensuring all statutory obligations are met throughout the design and construction phases.Coordinate and verify compliance documentation, including inspection plans, certificates, and ancillary reports.Liaise with design teams, contractors, and building control authorities to ensure robust certification processes and timely submissions.Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation is aligned with regulatory requirements and best practicesAssist in the planning, execution, and delivery of refurbishment and construction projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.Collaborate with internal and external design teams to ensure seamless integration of design elements across disciplines and project phases.Support the preparation and coordination of tender documentation, including issuing tenders, evaluating submissions, and assisting in contract award processes.Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.Prepare detailed reports and documentation for project stakeholders.Upon completion of relevant training, provide services as a Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and Assigned Certifier, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements and best practicesMaintain effective communication with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies throughout the project lifecycle.Qualifications & SkillsLevel 8 Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.3-5 years experience in a similar roleStrong understanding of design and construction processes.Excellent organisational and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.Proficiency in relevant design and project management software.Willingness to undertake training for PSDP and Assigned Certifier roles.#J-*****-Ljbffr
