Company DescriptionLocated in Oranmore, Co Galway, CBS Consulting Engineers Ltd is a Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Consultancy Practice specializing in the design, consultancy and project management of sustainable, energy-efficient mechanical and electrical building services.CBS are currently involved in a number of prestigious projects ranging from hotels and sports stadiums through to large residential projects.Role DescriptionYou'll play a key part in the Mechanical and Electrical Design team and will have the opportunity to provide input into large prestigious projects nationwide.Your key responsibilities will include:Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.Design and specification of all Mechanical and Electrical Building Services systems.Carry out the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including H2x, , AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, etc.Preparing technical specifications.Working with others to produce accurate designsDrawing production in AutoCADDrawing Production in REVIT (essential)Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.Managing own workload, updating forward plan of workload regularly and working to time allocations.Managing elements of project delivery and an understanding of budget costings.QualificationsDegree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related subjects.Good level of computer literacy in a range of mechanical and electrical digital tools - H2x, IES, Prodesign (Amtech), AutoCAD, Revit, etc.Awareness of building physics principles.Experience of working in a design consultancy and/or some experience of working within a contractor design environment is beneficial.Good knowledge of appropriate technical standards.Able to take charge of personal project deliverables, make decisions on developing the discipline design elements, act on own initiative and operate in a pro-active way.BenefitsCompetitive SalaryPension schemeYearly Bonus25 days annual leave + bank holidaysOption to buy extra days of annual leave (or sell)Hybrid/Flexible working (after probationary period)Professional Fees - 1 annual membership paid for youTo Apply for this job, the person must reside within the Republic of Ireland
