Ultrasound team on a part-time basis.As we are constantly expanding our business, at this moment, we require specialisations in MSK, DDH or paediatrics.However, if you do not possess any of them but have interest in expanding your knowledge and clinical experience in them, we would be happy to train youWe opened a new clinic in Dun Laoghaire last year and, as the service expands, we need a new colleague to be based there for ideally 32 hours a week, across four days per week.However, the role could also be full time combined with clinical work in other locations.This is a great opportunity registrationMSc Ultrasound or equivalentRelevant clinical sonography experience with ability to perform a variety of sonographic exam typesEssential skills:Demonstrated ability to mentor and support staff (for Clinical Specialist level only)Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learningDemonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs for documentation activities and report generationDesirable skills:Demonstrated ability to manage clinical and non-clinical situationsHave excellent interpersonal and communicative skillsBe able to deal with staff and accordance with Medica procedures and protocolsTo provide a quality service for all our patients by ensuring that every patient is treated as an individual with courtesy, kindness, efficiency, efficacy and confidentialityMaintain up to date knowledge of clinical, technical and radiographic developments in relation to sonography and promote awareness of new developmentsTo take responsibility for the general cleanliness, tidiness and safety of the clinical areas of all ultrasound services and clinicsTo be familiar with current infection control procedures in each locationTo be familiar with and abide by, all Health and Safety Rules and recommendations and Incident Reporting policiesTo report any equipment problems that occur on any given day in a timely manner to the USMTo report any complaints in a timely manner using the quality management system and notifying the USMTo keep up-to-date with current techniques and protocols in Medica and to take part in in-service training, team days as requiredInput into quality control and audit procedures and development of policies and protocols as requiredTo maintain accurate patient data entry and management of Medica's RIS/PACS systemKey responsibilities for Clinical Specialist levelQuality managementContribute to the development and implementation of operational policies, protocols and guidelinesSupport the USM in the implementation of initiatives aimed at on-going service development and improvementAssist in the provision of the preventive maintenance and QA program for ultrasound equipmentProvide professional support and adviceAssist in the development and implementation of risk management and health and safety strategies in association with appropriate personnelPartake and understand the clinical audit process, complete audits as required and partake in the complaints and incident processClinical responsibilitiesTo be responsible of the production of high-quality images in accordance with Medica
