Senior Electrical Engineer – Limerick
The Life Science and Tech division is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the team in Limerick.
The Electrical Engineer coordinates with the line manager and provides engineering leadership for their respective project(s).
They set the strategy for engineering, including setting out and onsite control, along with the Engineer/Assistant Engineer and supply chain.
They serve as the primary point of reference for QA, record keeping, and production, ensuring the establishment and maintenance of Sisk Quality procedures and requirements.
Responsibilities:
Support their manager in the integration and delivery of Building Services systems into projects.
Support the use of the company's Building Services Management Systems & Procedures.
Assist the Estimating Department in MEP tender processes, including technical and commercial evaluation of bids.
Support procurement of MEP packages and associated contract documentation.
Manage site temporary electrical packages with consideration for energy efficiency.
Assist in finalizing Building Services Installation and Commissioning programs to align with the main construction schedule.
Coordinate with utility companies to ensure infrastructural and interface requirements are understood and met.
Ensure MEP and builder's drawings are prepared, issued, and approved before on-site start dates.
Track equipment and plant through all stages from approval to delivery and quality checks.
Monitor installation and commissioning works onsite against the project schedule.
Manage the MEP commercial and contractual aspects of the project.
Participate in snagging, quality walk-downs, inspections, and sign-offs of installations.
Prepare, issue, and approve method statements for MEP contractors.
Develop site-specific Inspection, Test, Commissioning, and Handover Plans with contractors.
Ensure the 'Notification of Readiness' procedure is followed for making safe MEP services prior to builder's works.
Witness on-site testing and commissioning demonstrations as required.
Assist in the assembly and approval of the Safety File.
Support preparation for Soft Landings.
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
Membership of a relevant professional institution such as CIBSE, CIOB, IEI, or equivalent.
6-8+ years of post-qualification work experience.
Operational experience in MEP projects demonstrating technical competence.
Strong technical and commercial skills to support project management.
Effective interpersonal skills for working in multidisciplinary teams.
Knowledge of health and safety policies and practices.
Understanding of quality management systems, inspections, testing, commissioning, and handover plans.
Proactive approach with drive and initiative to deliver project tasks.
Excellent clear communication and listening skills.
