At STERIS, we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.Position SummaryThe Account Manager at STERIS is responsible for identifying and winning new business through key account management and prospecting for new business.Develop a knowledge and understanding of trends in medical devices, pharmaceutical and diagnostic industries and buying/sourcing practices of our current and potential Customers.Responsible for the assessment of test requirements, methods, Customer specifications and information supplied in conjunction with other team members to ensure that every Customer project is managed and delivered successfully.The position is a technical sales role.DutiesUnderstand Customers' requirements and devise and articulate the most appropriate solutions.Meet with existing Customers and potential Customers to create further awareness of the STERIS service offering.Utilise Salesforce CRM system to track opportunities.Supports the STERIS team with problem solving and training activities.Liaise with other divisions to help create continuous improvement opportunities.Support marketing and outreach programs.Report on sales activity.Keep familiar with current industry standards and requirements (e.g. ISO *****, MDR, IEC ***** etc).Attends national trade shows, conferences, event functions as necessary.Education DegreeBachelor's Degree in Business or MarketingRequired ExperienceDegree level or equivalent in relevant subject or demonstrable relevant business experience.Ability to influence across functions across STERIS and across companies to achieve objective.Must be able to network internally across all functions and externally with Customer organisations and other service providers.Capable of contributing to the strategic direction of the business and able to work with counterparts within STERIS globally to achieve business objectives.SkillsHigh attention to detail.Ability to project manage.Working ConditionsHyrid RoleSTERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention.WE HELP OUR CUSTOMERS CREATE A HEALTHIER AND SAFER WORLD by providing innovative healthcare and life sciences products and services around the globe.For more information, visitSTERIS strives to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
