Family Resource Centre St Michael's Estate Community Development Project; Childcare Centre is a community-based Crèche and School Age service in the Inchicore area of Dublin 8.The aim of the service is to provide an affordable, high quality, safe caring environment whereby children are given every opportunity to develop their full potential and to ensure all children are ready for school.The crèche offers full-time places for children aged 1yr – 5 yrs and the School Age Service offers term time afterschool care for up to 36 children.This is a permanent full-time position for 35 hours per week, subject to a probationary period of six months.During the probationary period, performance and suitability for the role will be reviewed.The employer reserves the right to extend the probationary period on an exceptional basis.Upon successful completion of probation, the employee will be confirmed in post.QualificationsELC Qualification FETAC level 6 on the National Qualification's Framework.Level 7/8 desirable.2 to 3 years' experience in early years settings, ideally community provision.Understanding and experience of using the Early Years Hive and cfcrrs portal.One year + experience in a managerial/supervisory role within early childhood.Sound understanding of Aistear, Síolta, and current Early Years legislation and practices.Strong initiative, flexibility, and a supportive, team-based approach.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Key responsibilitiesOversee the day-to-day operations of an early years' and school age service, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for children, parents and staff.Leading and supporting a team of 8 childcare professionals providing guidance and training as needed.Develop and implement appropriate educational programmes and ensure compliance with all government regulations, standards, and quality assurance frameworks.Manage government funding programmes and ensure accurate reporting and documentation.Foster positive relationships with parents and carers, communicating regularly about their child's progress and any concerns.Take responsibility for administrative duties, including scheduling, budgeting, staffing and marketing of premises.Promote a child-centred approach, respecting individual needs, and fostering an inclusive, engaging environment.Ensure that all safeguarding and health and safety policies are adhered to.Keeping records updated.What we offerSalary scale in line with qualifications, experience and above ERO rates of October ****25 days annual leave20 days sick leaveOngoing training opportunitiesApplicants wishing to apply for the above post should send a letter of application and a CV to: ****** by 24th October ****.Interviews will be held on week of 27th October ****.Family Resource Centre St Michael's Estate Community Development Project is an equal opportunities employer.We welcome diversity and are committed to inclusion, fairness, and respect for all, in line with the Employment Equality Acts ********* and the Equal Status Acts *********.Candidates under consideration for the role will be subject to Garda vetting and undergo 2 reference checks before commencing employment.#J-*****-Ljbffr
