"Enabling people with an intellectual disability to have full and meaningful lives through quality person centered services in partnership with families" Cheeverstown are inviting applicants who share in our mission and values to apply for the following post: Senior Social Worker Permanent - 35 hours/wk The primary role of the post will be to work within the multidisciplinary Team in a senior capacity to support adults with intellectual disabilities and their families.
Essential Criteria The post holder will have:O Obtained a National Qualification in Social Work (NQSW) or a professional qualification which is recognised as equivalent by CORU.O Be currently registered as a social worker with CORU.O Five years post qualification experience.O Proven effectiveness as a professional social worker.O Ability to work across different teams and with different professions (e.g.
Adult MDT team, MHID, Transitions, Respite).O Experience of working within Disability Services.O Completed HSE Safeguarding Designated Officer Training and have experience and knowledge of Adult Safeguarding.O Knowledge of legal responsibility as a Mandated Person under the Children First Act, 2015.O Have a full driver's licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable CriteriaO Experience of working in a senior role.O Leadership experience.O Practice Teaching/Supervision experience.O Presentation Skills.O Group work skills.O Team work skills.
The location is initially within the Cheeverstown Centre, Templeogue but will require flexibility in location within the Cheeverstown catchment area.
