Position Overview:The Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of multi-spindle turning machines to produce precision-engineered components.The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.The Operator will work under the supervision of the Production Manager and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and productivity.Key Responsibilities:Machine Operation & SetupOperate and set up multi-spindle turning machines in accordance with production requirements.Prepare and install appropriate tooling and materials prior to production runs.Perform basic troubleshooting and minor maintenance on machinery.Material HandlingWork with a variety of materials, including Aluminium, 17-4 Stainless Steel, and exotic alloys such as Inconel 718 and A286.Ensure correct material handling procedures are followed to prevent damage or contamination.Technical & Quality AssuranceRead and interpret technical drawings and specifications (metric and imperial), with a strong understanding of geometric tolerancing.Measure and inspect components to ensure they meet design and quality specifications.Record production data and maintain accurate documentation as required.Health & SafetyAdhere to company safety protocols and procedures.Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with the Production Manager and team members to coordinate workflow and resolve production issues.Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Full training will be provided, but applicants should have:Strong mechanical aptitude is essentialPrevious experience on multi spindle turning machines would be an advantageAbility to read and understand engineering drawings an advantageAttention to detailFocused, team playerGood communication skillsAbility to understand and communicate clearly in English languageThe successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly rate in addition to excellent benefits including healthcare cover, contributory pension and bonus scheme.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €*****-€***** per hourExpected hours: No less than 39 per weekBenefits:Bike to work schemeCompany pensionEmployee assistance programOn-site parkingPrivate medical insuranceWork Location: In person
