General Ledger Accountant Galway City Are you a recently qualified accountant seeking hands-on experience in a multinational environment?
Our client, a leading lifescience company based in Galway City, is looking to hire a General Ledger Accountant on a 12-month temporary contract basis to join their growing finance team.
This role offers excellent exposure to global operations, financial reporting, and complianceideal for someone looking to develop a strong corporate finance foundation within a highly regulated, fast-paced industry.

Key Responsibilities Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including Balance Sheet and P&L summaries.
Support the annual statutory financial statement process and external audit activities.
Liaise with tax specialists to ensure compliance with VAT, corporation tax, and CSO requirements.
Contribute to SOX compliance and internal control processes.
Post and review monthly journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Continuously improve existing finance processes and drive efficiency within reporting cycles.
Ensure alignment with IFRS/local GAAP, internal policies, and corporate standards.

What Were Looking For Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
Strong understanding of technical accounting principles and compliance.
05 years PQEopen to Big 4/Top 10 practice candidates or those with industry experience.
Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is a distinct advantage.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsable to collaborate cross-functionally.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
