Ornua is a dairy co-operative which sells dairy products on behalf of its Members; Ireland's dairy processors and, in turn, Irish dairy farmers.

Headquartered in Dublin, it has annualised sales of over €2.3 billion and a global team of 2,850 employees.
Ornua operates from 10 business units worldwide, including 16 production facilities, and has sales and marketing teams working in-market across all four corners of the globe.
The Group is structured across two divisions: Ornua Foods and Ornua Ingredients.
Ornua Foods is responsible for the marketing and sales of Ornua's consumer brands including Kerrygold, Dubliner, Pilgrims Choice, Kerrygold Avantage, Forto, and BEO.
Markets are served by production facilities and in-market sales and marketing teams in Africa, Asia, Germany, Ireland, the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East, and the US.
Ornua Ingredients is responsible for the procurement of Irish and non-Irish dairy products and for the sale of dairy ingredients to food manufacturing and foodservice customers across the world.
Ornua Ingredients is also responsible for managing volatility through de-risking and trading strategies.
The business is supported by production facilities in Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, the US and by in-market teams in Africa and the Middle East.
Job Purpose
The primary purpose of the Export Documentation Coordinator is to provide accurate and timely documents for our export customers.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
The Export Documentation Coordinator is expected to provide clear, concise and appropriate communication with customers and within Ornua taking ownership of exceptional delivery of documents to our end customers.
The role demands attention to detail, adherence to process and trade documentation compliance obligations.
Knowledge of, and adherence to business rules of export regulations is essential.
Ad-hoc customer, supplier or internal queries will require professional management and problem-solving ability.
The role demands a high level of technical expertise regarding export procedure and requirements and the ability to contribute to developing execution processes to facilitate Ornua sales volumes.
Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships is a key success factor with specific importance of being able to operate in a virtual team environment where required.
Effective teamwork, time & task prioritisation are also essential.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Documentation Compliance & Processing: Understands the use and functions of various export documentation types including issuers, authentication and trade compliance – regulatory, commercial and customer.
Accurate presentation of documents within relevant timelines to enable prompt payment and minimizing risk under letters of credit.
Ongoing knowledge of current revisions of regulations governing trade products, including UCP and URC.
A solid understanding of the workings and expectations of Health and Vet certification submissions set by local Irish authorities.
Knowledge of trade transactions, document examination and discrepancy resolution.
Accurate and precise, good attention to detail.
Undertakes in-process and final checking of documents to ensure accuracy.
Dispatch documentation to selected service providers and customers within exporting and importing country requirements and timeframes.
Experience in Africa Middle East region is beneficial.
Experience with the Trade Technologies Trade Finance platform advantageous but not essential.
Continuous Improvement
Ongoing review of market requirements for continual improvement with emphasis on market simplification and e-documentation.
Strive at improving the LC and document checking process through use of check lists, Trade Technologies platform.
Monitor and control spend where necessary to keep export documentation costs to a minimum.
Regular maintenance of accurate customer master data records enabling seamless and timely despatch of customer documents.
Key Requirements
3+ years' experience in export documentation ideally in FMCG; knowledge and experience of ERP packages.
Proven capacity to adopt and promote a teamwork style within departments and across the organisation.
Strong attention to detail.
Analytical skills, process-oriented focus.
Disciplined in the execution of plans and schedules.
Very good communications skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of certification and/or legalisation of documents through various governmental / local agencies.
Knowledge dealing with regulatory bodies (eg DAFM, RPII) & Independent Inspection Agencies (eg BV and SGS).
Considerable deep-sea freight and letter of credit knowledge.
Proven ability to work effectively in a corporate culture.
Demonstrated ability to work positively in a changing environment.
