Accounts Assistant/Part-Qualified Accountant Mayo Your new companyThis opportunity is based in South Mayo. The location is commutable from parts of Galway, Mayo & Roscommon. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant for a fast-paced and high-volume role in their growing SME to join their team in the New Year. If you're a current contractor looking for the next position or an account person looking for the next step in your career, this role could be for you. Your new role As Accounts Assistant, you will support the management accountant and the wider team. Account Payable / Account Receivable functions High volume supplier invoicing Help prepare the year-end audit file. Ad-Hoc reporting when requested Prepare monthly and financial statements for the management accountant Updating and maintaining customer and supplier records via company systems Debtor account management Maintaining all agreements and platforms linked to the billing process Reconciliations of customer accounts Month-end report preparation Processing electronic transfers and payments What you'll need to succeed Accounting Technician/PQ or at least 3 years of accounting experience in Ireland assisting an FC Proactive and ability to work on your own initiative Communication skills - ability to communicate with staff, customers and suppliers Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Be trustworthy and honest Excellent organisational skills What you'll get in returnPackage: A competitive salary of between € Ample opportunity to up-skill throughout, the client is expecting any new applicant to not have all the experience required.
