Our client, a
world-class food production facility based in Wexford
, is seeking an
Engineering & Maintenance Lead
to join their site leadership team.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the maintenance and continuous improvement strategy at a state-of-the-art facility producing premium dairy products.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Site Lead, you will be responsible for the overall maintenance strategy, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
You'll play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, equipment reliability, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the site's maintenance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Own and deliver KPIs across safety, equipment efficiency, downtime, preventative maintenance, energy optimisation, and project delivery.
Drive proactive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimise unplanned downtime.
Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production goals and engineering projects.
Champion lean manufacturing principles and implement best-in-class maintenance systems.
Promote sustainability and EH&S compliance across all engineering activities.
About You
Trade qualified and/or third-level qualification in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
5–10 years' experience in a manufacturing, process, or maintenance leadership role—ideally in the dairy, food, or beverage sector.
Strong background in hygienic maintenance and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, PEMAC).
Results-driven, customer-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
