About MBRYONICSMBRYONICS is at the forefront of free space optical communications.Our productportfolio covers a wide range of emerging technologies from photonic integrated circuits to advanced optical systems and embedded software solutions.Our optical communications systems are integrated and deployed in satellite communications systems.The work is exciting and challenging and is at the forefront of the technology domains.As part of our expansion, we are currently looking for a suitably motivated - IT/Technical Support Engineer - to join our group.We are seeking an experienced IT professional to take ownership of day-to-day IT operations and infrastructure across our sites and cloud environments.This is a hands-on, high-impact position responsible for ensuring that our systems, networks, and endpoints are reliable, secure, and optimised to support our engineering and business operations.You will work closely with leadership, engineering teams, and external partners to keep our technology environment running smoothly, while continuously improving systems and processes.From troubleshooting a user's workstation to configuring a SonicWall firewall, from administering Google Workspace and Azure Entra ID to maintaining secure site-to-site VPNs with AWS — you'll be the person ensuring Mbryonics' IT foundation is robust and ready for growth.What you'll doProvide first- and second-line support for all staff, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues quickly and effectively.Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and peripherals for laptops, desktops, and engineering workstations.Manage core infrastructure including Windows Server, Azure Entra ID, SonicWall firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VLANs, and VPNs.Administer cloud and SaaS environments including Google Workspace, AWS.Implement and maintain system patching, updates, backups, and disaster recovery processes in line with policy.Enforce security controls, MFA, access management, and endpoint protection across the organisation.Maintain asset inventories and documentation to support operational continuity and compliance audits.Support secure environments for engineering workloads, including CAD, PDM, and HPC systems.Collaborate with the Director of Cyber & Information Security on incident response, monitoring, and continuous improvement of IT security posture.Provide technical input into IT and security projects, including infrastructure upgrades, cloud deployments, and automation initiatives.Who you areStrong experience in both IT support and infrastructure administration, ideally in a multi-site or engineering/manufacturing environment.Proficiency with Windows *****, Windows Server, Azure Entra ID/Azure AD, and Google Workspace administration.Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, firewall configuration).Hands-on experience with SonicWall or equivalent firewall platforms.Familiarity with AWS services (VPC, EC2, IAM) and cloud security best practices.Understanding of endpoint protection, MFA, and patch management.Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.Nice to HaveExperience with CAD/PDM environments (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Ansys).Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and development pipelines.Exposure to ISO *****, NIS2, or similar compliance frameworks.What's in it for youCareer Growth: Contribute to a world-class space-age communication program while developing your leadership skills in a state-of-the-art manufacturing environmentCollaboration: Work with talented professionals across disciplines to drive impactful solutionsInnovation: Be part of a team pioneering advancements in manufacturing engineering for cutting-edge FSO systemsWork-Life Balance: Enjoy flexible work schedules and a comprehensive benefits packageIf you're ready to take your career to new heights and drive the future of space-age communication, apply now and join the MBRYONICS team as our IT/Technical Support Engineer.Diversity, Inclusion and Equal OpportunitiesCore ethical values, diversity and inclusion are invaluable to MBRYONICS' business success.We recognise that the broad perspectives that result from recruiting, developing and retaining a globally diverse workforce promotes innovation and helps us succeed as a business enterprise.It is the policy and practice of the Company to provide equal opportunities to all employees and applicants.The Company will not tolerate discrimination on the basis of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, civil status, family status, disability, age, or membership of the Traveller community.
