The CompanyCubic3 provides advanced software-defined vehicle solutions to over 200 countries around the world.Our powerfully smart connectivity enables leading automotive, agriculture, and transportation OEMs to deliver innovative new services and fully compliant in-vehicle experiences that customers desire, regardless of local market requirements.We believe in leadership that supports empowerment and responsibility, while recognising and developing leadership qualities across Our Team.Together we bring out the best in each other.So, whether you're interested in joining us as an individual contributor, manager, senior leader – or someone who aspires to growing into a leadership role – we look for people who are results focused, empathetic, visionary, empowering, and who 'champion' our cultures and values.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced team lead to manage one of our Scrum teams.As the Team lead you will be responsible for guiding and mentoring the team to deliver its goals and meet the teams OKRs.You will hold regular one to one meetings with team members to define goals and discuss career progression.As the team lead you will liaise with the engineering manager to ensure the team are performing as expected and that best practices and guidelines are being followed.The team lead will guide the team through its Agile ceremonies and work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the team knows it's priorities and that all impediments are being addressed.You should be passionate about Agile development and strive to create an environment of empowerment and ownership of tasks.ResponsibilitiesLead the scrum team to ensure timely and consistent feature delivery.Manage Scrum ceremonies and act on feedback from them.Mentor team members and ensure the team is aligned on its sprint goals.Follow best practice and work with the engineering managers and other team leads to foster an environment of engineering excellence.Be a test first advocate to ensure test and test automation is built in from first principals.Communicate across scrum teams to ensure the team is not blocked and that teams are aligned on architecture and strategy decisions.Manage the teams Jira and ensure tickets are up to date.RequirementsEssential RequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience working within an Agile team to deliver enterprise level systems.Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, computer/electronic engineering, or related science discipline.Minimum 1 year of experience running a team of engineers within a scrum team.Demonstrate strong leadership skills and the ability to engage in technical discussion and build consensus.Strong understanding and experience of Agile practices particularly Scrum and running agile teams.Ability to lead conversations with internal and external customers to better understand requirements and prioritise tasks.Strong understanding of modern development practices such as SOLID principals or a strong understanding of modern testing principals such as TDD and BDDGood understanding of software delivery practices such as continuous delivery and integrationStrong verbal and written communication skillsDesirable RequirementsKnowledge of SAFe and how to implement it within an organisationExperience of the Azure cloud platform or another cloud providerWorking knowledge of .Net and C#Experience of unit testing and unit testing frameworksPrevious exposure to software projects that were implemented in a Microservices architecture using domain driven design, event sourcing and CQRSExperience of a software development environment testing RESTful APIs and creating automated solutions to do soBenefits25 days annual leave + 2 company daysHealth InsurancePension ContributionESOPTax saver schemeBike to work schemeSports and social activitiesGreat annual office outings (Summer BBQ, Christmas party, charity runs)Bits & Bobs days (Half day every quarter to get your Bits & Bobs done)Learning and Development OpportunitiesNew hires at Cubic are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working.After probation, we offer a flexible arrangement of up to eight work-from-home days per month, provided it aligns with business needs and performance standards.Cubic3 is an equal opportunities employer and committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.#J-*****-Ljbffr
