**This is a full-time role.Only those available for full-time work need apply**The Plaza Group, one of Ireland's leading independent motorway and primary route services groups, is excited to announce the opening of a new Service Station at Ennis in autumn/winter ****.As always, our core brands include the iconic Supermac's, Papa John's Pizza, SuperSubs, Mac's Diner Deli, and our Barista.We are committed to providing world-class food and retail services while maintaining the traditional values Supermac's is known for.Join our team at this new location and be part of the Plaza Group's continued success.Title: Assistant Site ManagerOBJECTIVEEnsure delivery of site targets for all departments within the Site, in terms of sales & profitability through the effective management of all store operations, i.e, Forecourt & Spar, with an overview of Deli, Supermac's & Papa Johns.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Ensure delivery of site targets for all departments within Tipp Town Plaza, in terms of sales & profitability through the effective management of all store operations and personnel, merchandising, local & national store marketing, and cost management.MANAGEMENT:To assist the Site Operations manager in the daily operations of the site, with particular emphasis on all retail and forecourt operations, and ensure all departments are monitored on a daily basis to ensure efficient service and maximum profitability.Assist with recruitment, training, and development of high-quality personnel for retail and forecourt, and assist other departments as required within the siteOverseeing rostering for Retail and Forecourt and general management of personnel to ensure adequate cover within budgetary provisions, whilst maintaining quality service to our customers.Participate in management meetings and communicate effectively with the team.Plan and organise all aspects of the operation to include all Fuel, Retail (Convenience Shop), together with ancillary offerings on site provided to the customer.In the absence of the Operations Manager, take the leading role, oversee operations, and lead by example.Assisting in managing the overall performance of the site, and driving operations to ensure this store is maximised.Merchandising professionally, using planograms where necessary to maximize space and offerings.Manage the performance of the team utilising effective performance management techniques and in line with labour law.Continually communicate with Managers regarding objectives and store performance.GENERALMeet targets as agreed.To undertake other additional duties as may be assigned by the company.The ideal candidate will possess many of the following attributes.Proven ability in managing diverse retail/food sites offeringPlanning & organising abilityProblem solvingManaging performance (of all employees in Forecourt & Retail areas)Excellent operational knowledge of the retail environment.Excellent interpersonal relations.Excellent understanding of consumer needsProven track record in achieving agreed targetsAbility to get involved with the local community positively, leading to goodwill and loyaltyFinancial skills with previous experience in budgets and profit and loss accountsWorking knowledge of Labour Law, Health & Safety regulations, HACCP, and Consumer LawAn excellent commercial acumen with the ability to anticipate and react to market changesCommitted to continually improving standardsSelf-motivatedThe ability to work in a pressurised environmentComputer skills"Only candidates living in Ireland and allowed to work here will be considered."Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: €40,******-€60,****** per yearBenefits:Company eventsEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFood allowanceOn-site parkingWellness programExperience:managing multi-department operations (food, retail, fuel): 2 years (preferred)Work authorisation:Ireland (required)Work Location: In personReference ID: ASM¦EP
