About The Role
We're seeking a highly skilled
Staff Analog/RF Design Engineer
with deep expertise in
PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) design
to join a world-class IC development team working on cutting-edge
UWB (Ultra-Wideband)
products.
This is a senior individual contributor role with significant influence over architecture and implementation, supporting products used in
mobile, automotive, IoT, industrial, and consumer applications
.
You will take ownership of
PLL design at both the system and circuit level
, developing solutions that operate up to 20GHz and meet stringent performance, power, and area requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, modeling, and verification of high-performance PLLs, including fractional-N/integer-N architectures, VCOs, loop filters, and dividers.
Collaborate closely with system architects to define PLL performance targets and integration strategies.
Work with layout engineers to ensure robust, low-noise physical implementation.
Produce high-quality behavioral models (Verilog-A/AMS) for system integration and top-level verification.
Contribute to the design of supporting analog/RF blocks (e.g.
LNA, PA, bandgap, ADC/DAC, mixers, etc.).
Participate in chip bring-up, lab validation, and debug alongside test and characterization teams.
Provide technical mentorship to junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the design group.
Qualifications & Skills
MSc or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or equivalent).
10+ years' experience in analog/RF IC design, with a focus on PLL development.
Proven ability to design PLLs from concept to silicon, including deep understanding of system-level trade-offs (jitter, phase noise, lock time, etc.).
Expert in Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, and behavioral modeling in Verilog-A/AMS.
Experience working in advanced CMOS nodes (40nm and below).
Solid grasp of RF systems and analog mixed-signal design practices, including DFT and design reviews.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Nice to Have
Experience in full-chip tapeouts and bringing RF ICs to production.
Background in UWB, wireless transceivers, or other high-frequency RF domains.
Familiarity with lab testing and debug tools (e.g.
spectrum analyzers, VNAs, etc.).
