
Group Payroll Manager

The Payroll Manager will report directly to the CFO and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the payroll function for the Group.
Managing a team of six Payroll professionals and working closely with a 3rd-party service provider, you will play a key role in optimising our payroll operations, ensuring full compliance with Revenue regulations and maximising the value of our newly implemented payroll system The Role: Review the existing payroll set ups across the group and implement a centralised payroll set up to cater for the full group set up Ensure documented process notes are in place for all procedures Put in place internal templates that can be used across the organisation Ensure an appropriate control environment is in place in line with Plc best practice Identify and recommend updates to payroll processing systems, and procedures Ensure payroll runs are processed in an accurate and timely manner for the group Oversee the preparation of payroll related documents Put in place structures to ensure accurate processing and control is in place for new starters, leavers, pay changes, personal information changes, etc Resolve issues relating to payroll run Put in place a KPI tracking process to monitor performance of the payroll function Provide the finance and HR functions with monthly/quarterly/annual reports in line with deadlines Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirements and support internal and external audits as such Support the business Directors on ad hoc projects as and when required Put in place a high performing team to support the integration of the existing business units and to support the continued growth of the organisation Manage the payroll team and ensure proper objectives, succession planning, etc is in place to support the ongoing development of the team The Person: Previous experience working in a senior payroll role, preferably with a Plc background Previous experience with Time & Attendance systems.
Proven experience in managing a large-scale payroll operation in Ireland.
Deep knowledge of PAYE, payroll compliance and Revenue reporting requirements.
Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
Demonstrated success in implementing or optimising payroll systems.
Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to interpret and present data.
High level of integrity, discretion and attention to detail.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
IPASS Qualification (or equivalent) and proficient in Excel.
Good understanding of Payroll input to management accounts.
