Chief Executive Officer (Exclusive) VANRATH are delighted to be working exclusively with a thriving UK business operating within the health & social care space to recruit a strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) the lead the business through its next phase of growth.

The primary focus of the CEO will be to provide strategic leadership and ensure the organisation delivers a high-quality service while remaining financially strong and compliant with regulatory standards.

Focus on challenging the senior leadership team to control costs and manage resources must be maintained.

Other key priorities are to identify, interpret and capitalise on market risks and opportunities, and develop the strategy for future growth.

The Role: Develop and implement strategies and policies to ensure that the organisation meets its medium- and long-term goals.

Formulate the strategic plan and annual budget to align with business objectives.

Manage the relationship with the funding bank and ensure the bank's requirements are satisfied, including adherence to budgets and achieving covenants as applicable.

Financial control to ensure enhanced operating profit Monitor detailed financial performance to ensure compliance with the business plan.

Identify efficiency measures to improve operational performance and ensure the organisation's goals are met.

Lead and support the senior leadership team and ensure the organisation's staff are focused on achieving its mission and aims.

Attendance at senior leadership meetings to input and challenge both financial and non-financial activities to achieve solutions and improvements.

Ensure that the business fulfils its legal, statutory and regulatory responsibilities.

Build relationships with external stakeholders The Person: Proven strong financial bias though not necessarily financially qualified.

Educated to first degree level as a minimum.

Preferably MBA / post-graduate.

Either currently a CEO looking for a bigger challenge or MD ready to step up into first CEO role.

Must have experience of securing funding / managing £multi-million finances.

Experience in M&A desirable.

First-hand experience of working with external financial institutions.

Visionary, commercial leader with growth mindset.

Analytical, clear thinking and knowledgeable.

Coaching style with the self-confidence to both challenge and empower others.

Empathetic, collaborative and supportive, combining personal drive, energy and ambition Excellent communicator, able to inspire, influence and build relationships with employees, key partners and external stakeholders.
