Head of Operations

A leading Health & Fitness Tech firm is seeking an operational leader to act as the backbone of the company.

About the Role

This role will ensure cross-team alignment, drive day-to-day delivery, and free the founders to focus on vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership: Coordinate department heads (Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Finance, Content Ops) to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Support delivery of product roadmaps and operational projects, keeping teams on track with agreed timelines.
  • Help teams stay focused on member-first priorities, with performance and stability addressed before new features.
People Management:
  • Oversight recruitment pipelines and act as the first filter in the hiring process.
  • Lead employee onboarding, training, and performance management.
  • Support development of performance frameworks to maintain consistent standards across departments.
Cross-Functional Alignment:
  • Act as the operational link between leadership and department heads.
  • Ensure insights from Customer Success inform Product and Engineering priorities.
  • Keep tech, product, and content teams working in sync, reducing silos and duplication.
Office Operations:
  • Oversight the smooth running of the office, including facilities, equipment, suppliers, and compliance.
  • Ensure teams have necessary resources and tools to perform effectively.
  • Contribute to building a positive work environment through team events and initiatives.
Vendor Oversight:
  • Manage relationships with external partners, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Support contract negotiations to ensure value for money.
  • Work with finance to track and manage operational budgets.
