Job Title: Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist (Primary Care) Location: Cavan town Contract Type: Full-time, 1-Year Specified Purpose Contract Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: HSE Aligned Pay Scales (Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist) Excel Recruitment is delighted to partner with a progressive Primary Care service in Cavan Town to recruit Staff Grade Speech and Language Therapist's.
We currently have opportunities in both Paediatric and Adult Primary Care, allowing you to choose a caseload that suits your skills, interests, and career goals.
This is a rewarding opportunity for a motivated Speech and Language therapist who wants to make a genuine impact in the community, whether supporting children's early communication development or enhancing quality of life for adults with complex needs.
About the Role: This flexible and rewarding position allows you to choose to work with either paediatric or adult clients or a combination of both based on your interests and experience.
You will assess, diagnose, and deliver interventions for clients presenting with a variety of communication challenges and/or swallowing disorders.
You'll join a well-established and supportive multidisciplinary team that values collaborative, person-centred care within a community-based Primary Care setting.
Requirements: Hold a recognised qualification approved by the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
Active CORU registration (Essential).
Experience with both adult and paediatric caseloads (placement experience will be considered).
Clinical competence in managing dysphagia and completing safe swallow assessments.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a Primary Care team.
Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle (Essential for adult primarycare role).
