Job Specification: What you need to know Matrix Recruitment are seeking to recruit a Qualified Industrial Electrician for our client, a well-established company, based in the Carlow area.
This is a Permanent Role.
Your new job Key duties & responsibilities: Perform electrical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment and machinery.
Work with 3-phase power systems, motors, VSDs (Variable Speed Drives), and industrial control panels.
Interpret and work from electrical schematics and technical drawings.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and increase reliability.
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, diagnose faults, and implement effective repairs.
Work with PLC systems programming knowledge is advantageous.
Ensure all work is completed to high standards of safety and efficiency.
Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records and logs.
What are we looking for? Qualified Electrician with relevant trade certification.
35 years experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with 3-phase electrical systems, VSDs, motors, and PLC-controlled equipment.
Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and troubleshoot effectively.
Strong fault-finding skills.
Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems.
Experience with both preventive and reactive maintenance practices.
Excellent fault-finding skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
Strong commitment to health and safety protocols in an industrial setting.
Ideally based in or near the Carlow region.
