Background: Infrastructure is vital to how we live, work, and grow economically. Rising societal demands, climate goals and sustainability pressures create complex challenges for those developing and operating critical infrastructure. There are opportunities for innovation, collaboration and growth within an expanding Infrastructure and Government team across Dublin, Cork and Belfast.
Peer group- At least 5 years of experience providing strategic, commercial and financial advice on infrastructure capital projects and programmes.
- Experience developing feasibility studies and business cases for capital investment programmes in sectors such as transport, housing, utilities, digital, health and education.
- Experience providing supporting analysis for the appraisal of capital investment programmes.
- Strong commercial and financial awareness.
- Experience working on Public Private Partnerships (PPPs).
- Knowledge and application of infrastructure guidelines (formerly public spending code).
- Experience with central government departments/agencies or local government.
- Numerate with strong analytical skills; financial modelling skills are beneficial.
- Appreciation of economic analysis and techniques for large capital infrastructure projects.
- Willingness to apply yourself across a broad client range and learn new skills in a challenging, supportive environment.
- Strong client relationship track record and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Provide strategic advice on approaches to development, procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects and contracts for critical government services across transport, housing, energy, utilities, education and health.
- Critically review and develop business cases in line with infrastructure guidelines and governance codes for semi-states.
- Provide commercial and financial advice on procurement of major investment projects, including tender documentation, bidder dialogue and tender evaluation.
- Contribute to projects that support Ireland's National Development Plan, Climate Change targets and Sustainable Development Goals.
- Manage engagements and junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Support day-to-day client relationships and ensure responsive service.
- Ensure adherence to KPMG quality and risk management procedures.
- Apply innovative techniques to solve complex client problems.
