Job Description

The LV SWGR (Low Voltage Switchgear) Product Manager IEC EMEA gathers and analyzes customer needs, evaluates market and regulatory trends, develops new product roadmaps and strategy, leads presales support, and works collaboratively with others to drive profitable growth and innovation. This position is responsible for working with EMEA regional and functional teams to achieve both financial and sales objectives. The LV SWGR Product Manager exercises supervision in terms of R&D priorities, product target costs, design and pricing methods, and resourcing in a global SWGR PL (switchgear product line) matrixed organization.

The successful candidate will be required to make frequent trips to the Republic of Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the LV SWGR (IEC 61439-2) product lifecycle management, including hardware, configuration software, and start-up services provided by EMEA Vertiv Service Team, from development through growth and phaseout.
• Coordinate with peers to drive innovation, development, and delivery, including specializations for AI, Cloud Services, Edge Computing, and customized applications, particularly in the data center market. Also focus on growth in the EMEA Commercial & Industrial space.
• Enable global routes to market to facilitate success, leveraging Vertiv's manufacturing footprint across Americas, Europe, and Asia.
• Support supply bases (internal and third-party) for competitive fulfillment, with a focus on IEC 61439-2 standards in EMEA.
• Conduct competitive assessments in the IEC EMEA marketplace, exploring technology and partnership opportunities, and identify emerging market opportunities in cloud, colocation, enterprise data centers, and electrification growth.
• Develop tools for configuration, content creation, and data management to support growth and profitability.
• Manage LV SWGR configurator list pricing and work with finance teams on pricing strategies.
• Position as a trusted adviser to customers and partners, participate in industry groups influencing standards.
• Drive technical input and specifications for new product development at the system level.
• Identify, prototype, and validate design improvements to enhance performance, considering lifecycle, logistics, and circular economy factors.
• Support marketing and regional marketing opportunities, including trade shows.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or marketing.
• Experience in engineering, supply chain, or manufacturing operations, with cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Smartsheet and Power BI are a plus.
• Ability to interface with customers at various levels.
• Experience leading meetings and presentations via in-person and digital channels.
• Experience with NPDI and PLM systems.
• Curiosity and a commitment to continuous learning.

• Autonomous working style.
• Experience in introducing new processes.
• Strong problem-solving, data analysis, and project management skills.
• Experience with IEC 61439-2 Low Voltage Equipment and components like circuit breakers, transformers, etc.
