Job Opportunity: Engineering Leadership

  • Achieve exceptional results as a Senior Engineering Manager, leading the development and implementation of engineering strategies to drive growth and innovation across the global Busbar line of business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing regional engineering standards to drive design consistency, improve cost competitiveness, and enhance ease of manufacturability and field serviceability of Busbar products.

This leadership role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and E+I & Vertiv Regional Managers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a deep understanding of power distribution and Busbar products.

Responsibilities:
  1. Drive standardization of design, creating global platforms that can be tailored to regional-specific needs.
  2. Balance engineering demand with available engineering capacity, optimizing work effort regionally.
  3. Improve core engineering processes and tools to streamline design efforts and increase visibility and tracking of status and key work products (e.g., submittals traceability).
  4. Personally engage in engineering activities with customers and programs.
  5. Define and improve standard work documentation in line with global standards for the engineering team, audit the team's work for conformance to defined processes, and monitor improvement to team KPIs.
  6. Manage the recruiting, onboarding, and development of engineering personnel to improve individual capabilities, productivity, and performance.
  7. Maintain appropriate contacts with industry organizations, regulatory agencies, and external pressures to maintain technical leadership.
  8. Serve as a technical point for customers, manufacturing, and service to resolve complex issues.
  9. Drive Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) to optimize the cost structure of Busbar products.
Qualifications:
  • HND or degree in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of product experience.
  • Deep technical subject matter expertise in power distribution and Busbar products OR MV Electrical Experience / Manufacturing / Switchgear.
  • Managerial skills necessary to plan, measure, and motivate people to continuously improve their output and personal growth.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to build diverse relationships internally and externally.
