We are hiring experienced and dynamic PMO leaders to join our energy clients' infrastructure division. Looking for 2x PMO & a PMO Operations Manager. These strategic roles will oversee the delivery and operational governance of a diverse portfolio of renewable energy projects, including wholly owned and joint venture developments. The successful candidates will manage project delivery frameworks, lead program execution, and ensure governance standards are embedded across all initiatives.

This is a high-impact position working across wind, solar, battery storage, grid infrastructure, peatland rehabilitation, and public good projects.

Key Responsibilities

Program Delivery & Leadership

  • Provide end-to-end oversight of large-scale renewable energy programmes (owned and joint venture).
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers and support staff.
  • Ensure timely, on-budget delivery with a focus on strategic alignment, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including JV partners, consultants, and contractors.
  • Lead resource planning, contract negotiation, and commercial delivery across the portfolio.

Operational PMO Management

  • Design, implement, and optimise project delivery frameworks, processes, and standards.
  • Manage PMO operation, including governance, performance reporting, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Develop and embed consistent methodologies, templates, and best practices across the portfolio.
  • Lead initiatives to improve project management maturity and build delivery capability across the organisation.

Governance & Reporting

  • Oversee programme-level risk, financial forecasting, and benefit realisation.
  • Deliver clear dashboards, reports, and presentations to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
  • Ensure all projects comply with regulatory, environmental, and grid standards.

Key Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field (Master's degree advantageous).
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in large-scale energy or infrastructure project delivery, including:
  • At least 3 years in a senior program or operations management role.
  • Experience with both owned and joint venture project delivery is beneficial.
  • Proven track record in leading complex project portfolios through full lifecycle delivery.
  • Strong commercial acumen in procurement, budgeting, and contract negotiation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory, planning, and grid frameworks in the energy sector.
  • Professional certification in Project Management (e.g, PMP or equivalent) is desirable.

  • Deep understanding of PMO governance, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive operational excellence.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
