SimoTech require a DeltaV Automation Engineer to join our team, supporting one of our leading pharmaceutical clients based in Cork.

The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in automation engineering, on-site in a pharmaceutical facility. The role involves the design, development and testing of DeltaV code, as well as working with engineers from other disciplines to support projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creation of automation Functional and Detailed Design documents.
  • Coding of DeltaV Control Modules, Equipment Modules and Phase Classes.
  • Reviewing and testing DeltaV code.
  • Support walkthroughs and reviews of code with clients.
  • Conduct commissioning and qualification activities.
  • Production support.
  • Support other teams, such as validation and C&Q, with projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or Life Sciences.
  • Must have 5+ years demonstrated DeltaV batch automation experience, on-site in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Knowledge/Experience of Centrifuge operation.
  • Strong knowledge of S-88 Batch standard.
  • Good understanding of GAMP, regulatory requirements and computer system validation.
  • Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with other engineering and business functions.
