Applications are invited for a permanent or temporary full-time or part-time post of a Library Facilities Assistant within UCD Library.
The UCD Library Facilities team play a key role in maintaining the safety and security of library users and staff, in library operations including the monitoring of the buildings themselves. UCD Library Facilities staff must have excellent customer service skills and be professional and user focussed on their dealings with library patrons. As they are often the first people library users meet, they help to ensure a positive experience.
The Facilities team provide a security presence and are actively involved in maintaining a safe environment in all library buildings. They also act as first-line support for Library users in the event of an emergency. They play a key role in library services delivery, providing administrative and operational support, and helping to ensure UCD Library offers excellent services and facilities to all users. When required, this team also answers admissions/access queries and provide information on lending policies and library services. A flexible attitude to work is crucial. Part of the work of a facilities assistant is to proactively monitor library buildings and spaces, and report maintenance or other problems.
Salary95 Services Steward_2013 (7931) Salary Scale: €36,241 - €45,421 Per Annum (or Per Annum Pro-Rata for part-time roles).
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
ContractPermanent or temporary, full-time or part-time post.
