Overview

Barden is partnering with a leading global pharmaceutical company to expand its tax team in Cork. The role focuses on Indirect Tax with exposure across global tax operations and opportunities to work across direct tax, transfer pricing, tax technology, and related areas.

The Role

This is an initial 12 to 18 month contract. The company supports a hybrid working model with flexibility and remote options.

  • Partner with local finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate indirect tax compliance
  • Review and enhance tax processes with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement
  • Monitor tax law developments and advise the wider business accordingly
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities and external consultants
  • Provide tax guidance to internal stakeholders across various functions
  • Support broader business initiatives such as tax system upgrades and automation projects
The Person

We're looking for a qualified Tax Consultant or Accountant with 2-3 years' post-qualification experience, ideally gained in a Big 4 firm or multinational environment. Strong knowledge of indirect tax or accounting is essential. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, a great communicator, and a natural team player who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
