Purpose of the Post / Details of Service: The purpose of the post is to:
- Provide clinical services to eligible patients, including those with additional/special needs, including the provision of dental treatment under local anaesthesia, conscious sedation or general anaesthesia.
- Organisation and management of the special/complex care paediatric dental service.
- Further development of dental services to vulnerable patient groups, for example homeless groups and asylum seekers.
- Audit the effectiveness of the service.
- Prepare periodic reports for the Principal Dental Surgeon.
