The Sandymount Hotel, Dublin's Largest Independent Family-run Hotel, is currently recruiting for a Night Porter to join our team. This is a night shift position from 10:30pm to 6:30am and includes weekends. We are a quiet hotel with no late night large functions.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the property between the hours of 10:30pm and 6:30am
  • Ensuring all tasks and duties are completed to the highest standard
  • Dealing with all aspects of the hotel, including guests, security, reception duties, cleaning, conference setup, food and beverage service, running nightly reports, dealing with Health and Safety, First Aid, etc.
  • Efficiently greet and check guests in with a warm and friendly manner
  • Deal with guest queries and complaints
  • Take reservations correctly, noting any special requests
  • Provide late night drinks and food service
  • Ensure front of house areas are clean and well maintained
  • Carry out night security checks and be responsible for security issues
  • Handle floats and safe deposits, maintaining high levels of security
Who We Are Looking For
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A knowledge of Guestline Office System or similar is preferred
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work equally well in a team environment and on their own initiative
