Overview

Care Worker - Drogheda, Co. Louth role at The Alzheimer Society of Ireland.

Location: Newtown Link Road, Greenhills, Drogheda, Co. Louth A92 PYV9. This is a permanent contract, working 18 hours per week. There is no weekend or shift work.

The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is a national non-profit organisation that provides dementia-specific services and supports, advocates for the rights and needs of people living with dementia and their carers, and works to ensure no one goes through dementia alone.

Responsibilities
  • Report to the Day Centre Manager and provide person-centred care to people with dementia.
  • Address residents' needs and support their quality of life.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with people with dementia, older people, or people with intellectual disabilities.
  • FETAC level 5 qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Good communication and organisational skills; able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
Salary

Salary will be commensurate with the care sector and dependent on relevant experience.
