Meaningful Community Support Worker

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Meaningful Community Support Worker. In this role, you will play a vital part in enabling individuals with intellectual disabilities to participate in a range of activities that promote their active citizenship and community inclusion.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for facilitating person-centered planning, capacity building, social inclusion, positive behavior supports, community development, advocacy, and empowerment. You will also support service-users in various programs, identify opportunities for building natural support networks, and develop their social roles.

Requirements
  • A relevant third-level qualification in Social Care, Education, Community Development, or Training (QQI Major Level 6 or higher)
  • Minimum three years' experience supporting adults with an intellectual disability or similar field
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • An ability to work independently and be flexible
