We are seeking an experienced Commercial Lead to join our growing team and oversee the commercial management of complex, high-value infrastructure and capital development programmes. Based in Dublin, this role will involve working closely with client teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to lead procurement strategy, manage commercial risk, and deliver strong commercial outcomes across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the commercial strategy, planning, and delivery across major infrastructure or capital programmes.
  • Manage procurement processes, including contract drafting, negotiation, and administration aligned with public and private sector frameworks.
  • Oversee the cost management, valuations, and financial reporting for projects, ensuring alignment with client budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide strategic input into contract and claim management, including dispute resolution and change control.
  • Develop and maintain robust commercial governance and reporting frameworks, tailored to programme scale and client requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with client organisations, supply chain partners, and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Support the preparation of business cases, commercial appraisals, and value-for-money assessments for public sector investment.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, ensuring consistent delivery and career progression within the commercial team.
  • Contribute to business development by supporting bids, proposals, and client presentations related to commercial services.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 10–15+ years of experience in commercial management, preferably within infrastructure, construction, or capital development projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of NEC, FIDIC, or public procurement frameworks, including Ireland's Capital Works Management Framework (CWMF) where relevant.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale procurement, contract, and cost management workstreams.
  • Excellent understanding of commercial risk, contract law, and value management.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Proven ability to deliver in client-facing roles, including secondment or embedded project team environments.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered status or working toward (e.g. MRICS, MCIOB, MCIArb, or similar).
  • Experience on public sector infrastructure projects in Ireland is highly desirable.
