Title: QC Compliance Technician
Location: PEM Galway Status: Fulltime Permanent / Day Shift
Department: Quality Report to: Quality Manager
ResponsibilitiesTo define and conduct Quality control and Quality compliance activities within the PEM Europe business including process and end of line product testing, new product validation testing, MSA, and Quality control in production as required. Reporting to the Senior QA Engineer – Design & Compliance
- Conduct validation activities, sampling testing and CAPA associated with:
- Product Development / Improvement
- Manufacturing process development / changes
- Corrective Actions
- Customer Specific Requirements
- Create and submit quality conformity documentation to customers
- Ensure compliance with IATF-16949 & ISO 9001 requirements, conduct internal audits of the QMS
- Conduct MSA activities as required for all IMTE on site
- Conduct lab performance testing in support of business needs
- Manage the issuing and completion of NCRs using EQMS
- Provide guidance on quality procedures to operations and design teams
- Assist all departments with additional testing when required
- Lead and support continual improvement projects/activities
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Experience in a similar manufacturing or quality environment would be a strong advantage.
- Minimum Level 6 qualification in an Engineering, Science, or Quality discipline is required.
- Good mathematical and communication skills are necessary.
- Computer skills are required, particularly the ability to use spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to work on projects with personnel at all levels of the organisation
- Certification for IATF16949 internal auditor training would be an advantage
- Certification in AIAG Core tools would be an advantage
- Ability to learn and communicate new methodologies.
- Ability to use standard mechanical inspection instrument
- A high level of flexibility is required
- Candidates must be enthusiastic, pro-active in their approach, and able to take the initiative
