Overview

Sprinkler Contracts Manager – Cork, Ireland

Location: Cork

Responsibilities
  • Deliver the Commercial, Schedule, Quality and Safety of the projects assigned in line with company and client expectations.
  • Manage all elements on projects, including project margin management and reporting to senior management; may perform tasks directly or with the assigned team depending on project scale.
  • Implement internal improvement projects aligned with the company's strategic aims.
  • Oversee project staff and operations under their remit and ensure resources are adequately allocated with trained operatives and quality suppliers.
  • Implement group policies and procedures and ensure adherence.
  • Report project performance to the General Manager and Managing Director.
  • Maintain strong customer relations with site visits, progress updates and issue resolution.
  • Review and improve project delivery effectiveness by implementing company lead improvement projects.
Contracts Manager duties
  • Implement the company's Safety, Quality, Schedule and Project Management processes on projects.
  • Oversee site operations regularly to ensure processes are implemented and followed.
  • Monitor and control project budgets and margins with Senior Management on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure contracts are mobilised and planned within budget and with a clear scope communicated to Supervisors and Operatives.
  • Ensure on-site practices meet safety and quality standards; verify QA checks and sign-offs as required.
  • Support EHS by preparing safety paperwork and monitoring health and safety practices through site walks, toolbox talks, inspections and equipment checks.
  • Maintain site records and substantiation in the job file.
  • Capture progress and variation information for accurate reporting.
  • Foster a motivational work environment and engage with all personnel at all levels.
  • Provide feedback to senior management on standout performance and raise issues as they arise.
  • Support the implementation of company lead improvement projects at the work front.
Requirements and Skills
  • Capable in planning and project budgeting.
  • Knowledge of Project Management processes and functions (Finance, HR, Procurement, Design, Site operations, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • 5+ years' experience in the Fire Protection Design & build industries.
  • Relevant qualifications in Project and Construction Programme Management.
