Maintenance Engineer - Ireland, Clonmel - 11 Month Contract

Maintenance Engineer position in Clonmel, Ireland for an 11 month contract within a pharmaceutical setting. The role focuses on GMP-compliant maintenance activities for equipment and facilities used in the production of veterinary vaccines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop preventative maintenance schedules and service level agreements (SLA) with vendors.
  • Ensure correct spare parts are available to maintain continuous operation.
  • Support development and registration of equipment and instrumentation in CMMS systems.
  • Support FATs, project walk-downs, commissioning, and documentation handover.
  • Develop SOPs and work instructions for facility-related processes.
  • Support validation of equipment, particularly HVAC and process air systems.
  • Engineering metrics reporting and action planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement through digital tools and problem-solving approaches (Tier, 8D, standardisation, etc.).
Desirable Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Active listening skills and ability to integrate diverse perspectives.
  • Timely decision making and ability to respond to changing priorities.
  • Experience working in a strongly regulated GMP environment.
