Product Manager

Irish Life is hiring a Product Manager for Health Insurance Products. This role is hybrid and based in Dublin.

As a Product Manager, within the Product & Pricing Team and reporting to the Senior Product Manager, you will:

• Own the day-to-day product management process and lead on product MI, insight and tracking.
• Collaborate with the Proposition Development team on new product development to ensure Irish Life Health's product range is comprehensive, competitive & profitable.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver system readiness for product changes.
• Manage Product Design.
• Manage a team of 2 direct reports.

Product Management

• Work with stakeholders to ensure ILH products are innovative and meet customer needs; implement and refine processes to deliver product changes and new range launches, including testing.
• Support management and resolution of customer and distributor issues due to regulatory or commercial changes.
• Provide adequate communications to all necessary stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other functions to ensure training materials and communications about product changes are appropriate.
• Ensure ILH products and literature are up-to-date with legislative and corporate changes or changes required by the business.

Knowledge Expertise

• Be a knowledge expert on product benefits, competitor plans, market comparisons, legislation, policy terms and conditions.
• Quality, Controls, Governance and Reporting; familiar with risk management programs and how they impact the area.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory, professional and legal requirements; assist in risk management programs.
• Manage the product portfolio to align with ILH strategic goals and ensure the product architecture enables the business.
• Collaborate with the Proposition team to understand needs of ILH portfolio segments and input into benefit refreshes.

Training and development

• Produce or sign off on product-related training and help maintain training materials up to date, complete and fit for purpose.

Product strategy and innovation

• Support the Senior Product Manager in implementing the overall product strategy for health business.
• Ensure new product development initiatives are robust and product literature is of high quality.

What you will need to be successful in the role

• 5+ years of product management experience with commercial responsibility and a track record of driving growth.
• Knowledge of Health Insurance market in Ireland and related regulation.
• Understanding of customer needs, competitors, and emerging trends shaping opportunities.
• Excellent knowledge of regulatory rules governing the product landscape (HIA, CBI, Revenue Commissioners where applicable).
• F&P role; MMC is required - APA in Health Insurance.
