This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone with good construction knowledge, strong organisational skills, and a solid understanding of Irish regulatory requirements. Experience in residential or healthcare construction is a bonus but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Assist in planning and delivering construction projects from early stages through to completion, keeping works on track with timelines and budgets.
- Regulatory Awareness: Help ensure compliance with relevant Irish building regulations and health and safety standards. Support the permitting and inspection process as needed.
- Cost Tracking: Monitor budgets and expenses, highlight any issues early, and work with teams to keep costs under control.
- Site Oversight: Carry out regular site visits to support quality, safety, and project progress. Work closely with contractors to resolve day-to-day issues.
- Team Communication: Maintain good communication between internal departments, external contractors, and other relevant parties.
- Problem Solving: Flag risks and challenges and contribute to practical solutions that keep projects moving forward.
- Project Handover: Help ensure completed projects meet standards and that all necessary documentation is in place for handover.
- A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related area (NFQ Level 8 preferred).
- Experience with construction projects in Ireland, ideally including familiarity with local codes and safety standards.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams and with external partners.
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic project management or construction software.
- Full clean driver's license and willingness to travel to sites as required.
- Competitive salary and benefits.
- Steady, long-term projects in a supportive team environment.
- Chance to make a real impact on meaningful, community-focused developments.
