Overview

Senior Quantity Surveyor (construction) - Greater Leinster

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company with a strong track record delivering complex projects across pharmaceutical, healthcare, commercial, educational, and public sectors.

This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of high-value projects and play a key role in cost management, procurement, and financial control.

The Role

As Senior QS, you will:

  • Lead cost planning, estimation, and procurement strategies for large-scale construction projects.
  • Manage tendering processes, including preparation of documentation, evaluation, and negotiation.
  • Monitor budgets, valuations, variations, and final accounts to ensure accurate reporting and financial control.
  • Support project teams through risk assessments, value engineering, and pre-construction planning.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and contractors to maintain strong relationships and deliver best-value outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and industry accreditations.
What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related field.
  • 15+ years' post-graduate experience in construction, ideally in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or complex building projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to manage cost reporting and financial control.
  • Experience working with both BIM-integrated workflows and traditional QS methods.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional accreditation (MRICS, SCSI, CIOB, or equivalent) desirable.
