Senior Project Manager – 9 month contract

At Glanbia, an opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our team based in Citywest, Dublin 24 with hybrid working arrangements in place. This role can be hired on a daily-rate contractor basis. The role is required for up to 9 months with potential to extend.

Location: Citywest, Dublin 24. Hybrid working arrangements in place.

Key elements of the role
  • Ensure the successful delivery of key strategic projects to plan and within budget, while ensuring that deliverables meet the underlying business case.
  • Early identification of the key performance measures to manage the project and instil a rigorous set of interim checkpoints to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Create and manage project plans ensuring appropriate feedback and buy-in from all functional groups.
  • Proactively assess project issues and facilitate mitigation plan to ensure project success.
  • Coordinate and present status updates and report on potential issues and mitigation plans to steering group.
  • Overseeing multiple workstreams and coordinating cross-functional teams.
  • Ensuring the successful delivery of strategic business objectives related to whey protein market dynamics & pricing.
Skills
  • 10-15 years' experience of successfully managing complex projects involving significant business change including set-up, governance and reporting tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong comprehension of dairy or food industry, with a focus on the dynamics affecting commodity pricing and market volatility.
  • Proven track record in managing multi-disciplinary projects within the dairy, food industry, preferably with exposure to commodity market dynamics.
  • Proven ability to build and lead integrated teams from internal and external organisations across multiple sites.
  • Effective consultative and influencing approach. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively at senior leadership levels. Cultural adaptability.
  • Strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Experience of managing and working collaboratively with a variety of consultancies.
  • The energy, enthusiasm and drive to make it happen.
  • Demonstrated understanding of business operations, supply chain management.
