The role will suit a candidate who is either a part-qualified accountant or someone who has the equivalent experience.

  • Previous experience within the Property industry is important
  • Experience in Blockman is key
  • Letman a significant advantage
  • Quickbooks a bonus

You must be well organized, articulate and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. You work very well within a team and show excellent communication skills, building relationships both in the team and externally. You also must show initiative and be able to perform the role with minimal supervision.

A well-established Dublin City Centre based estate agency are looking for an Assistant Accountant in the block management division.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain further experience within the Irish property market. There is a great working atmosphere at Bespoke and the successful candidate will be working within the property accounts department.

Responsibilities:

  • Commercial & Residential block management accounts mainly
  • Assisting on commercial & residential property rental accounts occasionally
  • Assisting on property management accounts
  • Implementation and maintenance of appropriate systems and internal controls
  • Debtors receipts, creditors payments and reconciliations across multiple entities
  • High volume of bank reconciliations
  • Automated payment runs
  • Setting up on-line banking
  • Dealing with customer account queries
  • Monthly reporting to the Clients and Financial Controller
  • Assisting in preparation of Year End reports for Auditors
  • Preparing block budgets for the year ahead
  • General administration and any ad hoc duties, scope to grow

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience in an accounting environment of an estate agency or property company
  • Part Qualified or Qualified Accounting Technician
  • Proficient in Excel, experience with Xero/ Quickbooks a bonus
  • Previous use of Blockman, Letman or similar and experience in property management accounts highly important
  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
