Technical Pre-Sales Specialist – Microsoft Business Applications
This is a hybrid role, based remotely and onsite in either our Dublin/Belfast or UK office.
Ergo is a leading technology solutions provider specializing in Microsoft Business Applications, including Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Technical Pre-Sales Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in translating business challenges into innovative technical solutions, working collaboratively with our sales and technical teams to deliver optimal solutions to our clients.
Key Role Responsibilities
Technical Expertise
- Possess in-depth knowledge and certifications in Microsoft Business Applications, particularly Dynamics 365 (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Field Service) and the Power Platform.
- Stay updated on the latest product releases and industry trends.
- Collaborate with the sales team and client to understand client requirements and objectives.
- Translate business challenges into comprehensive technical solutions leveraging Microsoft Business Applications.
- Develop and present customized product demonstrations and presentations to potential clients.
Solution Design and Proposal Development
- Work closely with the technical team to design tailored solutions that address client needs and align with our capabilities.
- Develop proof-of-concept (PoC) and prototype solutions to showcase functionality and feasibility.
- Assist in the preparation of high-quality proposals, technical documentation, and responses to tender documents.
- Ensure that proposals are technically sound, aligned with client requirements, and compliant with industry standards.
Client Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and needs assessment.
- Conduct client workshops and consultations to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
- Understand the competitive landscape and market dynamics related to Microsoft Business Applications.
- Assist in pricing strategies and cost estimations for proposed solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical experts, to ensure a unified approach to client solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members when necessary.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements in the pre-sales process.
- Share feedback and insights with product development teams to contribute to product improvement.
Education, Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology).
- Relevant certifications in Microsoft Business Applications, such as Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
- Proven experience in a technical pre-sales role within the Microsoft ecosystem.
- Strong ability to understand and translate complex technical concepts into simple, business-focused language.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to contribute to pricing and proposal strategies.
- Proficiency in responding to tender documents and RFPs.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and business requirements.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset.
