• Processing of reservations, cancellations and modifications promptly.
• Handle guest enquiries relating to the hotel including reservations, dining, and general queries in a competent and efficient manner.
• Respond to all guests/prospective guests' enquiries by email in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
• Describe accurately all bedrooms, services and facilities in the hotel and be fully familiar with all room rates available as well as rates of all services/facilities that can be offered.
• Proactively sell bedrooms at the best rate possible, ensuring that all opportunities to achieve upsell (upgrades, dinner, activities, etc.) are maximized.
• Carry out all duties in line with departmental Standards Manual.
• Have thorough knowledge and understanding of all standards of performance and delivery within the Rooms department.
• Provide a channel for communication within the hotel to effectively deal with all telephone and email enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
• Be fully aware of any menu updates, hotel promotions, or special events.
• Be knowledgeable about the introduction of products.
• Answer the switchboard in a friendly and engaging manner, directing calls appropriately.
