Overview

Securitas Security Services are currently recruiting a full-time Construction Security Officer to be based in Ballycoolin. A valid Safe pass is essential for this position.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains security and safety of people and property in the assigned area. Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site. Promotes life safety and protects the client's property, people and assets by providing security services to construction sites and/or specific posts and functions as directed.
Pay and Benefits
  • Pay rate of €15.41 per hour plus night shift allowance of €16.80 per shift and Sunday allowances of €3.44 per hour.
  • Full-time 36 hours per week with the ability to work up to 48 hours per week.

Expectations
  • Fully and satisfactorily complete all required training for the site.
  • Complete all tasks and duties as defined in the published Assignment Instructions (AI's).
  • Review and follow Assignment Instructions; suggest improvements where applicable to enhance service.
  • Identify and report Health & Safety hazards on site.
  • Be alert to threats or changes in the work environment and take appropriate action to reduce disruption, loss or damage.
  • Use initiative and involve others if a situation becomes threatening.
  • Maintain accurate incident notebooks and complete incident reports promptly.
  • Wear the provided uniform correctly and maintain a high standard of personal grooming and hygiene.
  • Maintain a helpful, courteous approach to team members, customers' staff and the public to uphold a professional image.
Security Officer Specification
  • PSA Licence
  • Safe Pass
  • Good English
  • Good written communication and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills and telephone manner
  • Fully flexible to work days, nights and weekends
  • Own transport desirable
