The Clinical Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides compassionate care, demonstrating kindness and active listening to patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Implements physician orders, administers medications, performs treatments, procedures, and documents care according to policies and regulations.
  • Evaluates diagnostic tests, assesses patient needs, and applies sound nursing judgment for care management.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses, administers medications, and collaborates with the team to develop care plans.
  • Supervises ancillary staff and maintains professional nursing standards.

Minimum qualifications include a nursing degree, valid NYS RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications, and 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.

The role requires excellent communication and organizational skills and involves weekend and holiday shifts.
