The Registered Professional Nurse in the Emergency Department provides comprehensive patient care, assessing needs, implementing physician orders, administering medications, and performing treatments and tests.

  • Coordinates and evaluates patient progress, ensuring smooth transitions and discharge planning.
  • Collaborates with the care team to develop and follow individualized Plans of Care.
  • Provides primary and emergency care for a diverse patient population across multiple zones, including trauma, pediatrics, and rapid care.
  • Maintains standards of professional nursing, guides ancillary staff, and manages patient documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines, including HIPAA, and protects sensitive information.

This role involves working night shifts in a Level I Trauma Center with 45 rooms, specialized zones, and advanced diagnostic facilities.Seniority level
