The Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all general work activities onsite, ensuring compliance with regulations and project specifications, and working closely with site personnel to deliver projects to the highest possible standard.

Responsibilities

These include but are not limited to:

  1. Scheduling, coordinating, and supervising projects, ensuring that all work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget, while ensuring all company and legal regulations are implemented, and that all required documentation is completed as necessary.
  2. Health and Safety ensuring all of the requirements are adhered to and that safety protocols on site are of the highest possible standard.
  3. Ensure site security and log-in and out of ALL personnel.
  4. Managing equipment and materials.
  5. Liaise with QS and Purchasing to requisition material/plant/labour required to the correct specification ensuring timely delivery to site.
  6. Provide updates to Project Manager/Contracts Manager/Construction Director.
  7. Ensure daily records are kept and uploaded to relevant project management software.
  8. Advise alternative options where possible, suggesting appropriate changes that will increase the overall efficiency of the building process without compromising Safety or Quality.
  9. Carry out and record site inspections, ensuring all works are carried out in line with approved method statements.
  10. Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings.

Key Skills & Experience

A successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

  1. Valid Safe Pass.
  2. Experience with managing teams and large volumes of subcontractors.
  3. Excellent people skills with proven leadership qualities and the ability to motivate others.
  4. Ability to work to deadlines.
  5. Enthusiastic, committed self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  6. QEHS Management Skills.
  7. First Aid Trained.
  8. Knowledge of Current Technical Building Regulations.
  9. Knowledge of Current Construction Methods.
  10. IT Literate.
  11. Site Organisation Skills.
